The Vanished Village was written by Dunia Berg in 1995, and first published in October of that year. It was followed by the publication of "The Exile of the Legion" in 1998, which deals with the aftermath of Daurne's fall, and "Lachesis", in 2005, a story that deals with the return of the boy Arden to his beloved lost village.

Berg has also published a third short story collection, titled "The Double Bind" (2003), which contains all the stories from the trilogy together in one volume, and which will have been over to excited! Sally finished washing the pots and she sighed and rubbed her eyes. She stood and turned round, and there, standing next to the sink, was Rosie. And Rosie was naked. Sally jumped and then gasped.

Rosie smiled as she watched Sally's eyes travel over her body. Sally's mouth dropped open, and then Rosie sighed and said, "This is my mindreading gift, Sally. I know you're very busy at the moment. So I'm going to leave you to it. I'll see you later, when you're tired." Rosie walked out of the kitchen and disappeared around the corner, and Sally had a moment to compose herself, before she walked over to the sink and looked out of the window at her garden.

The late summer sun was shining, The Vanished Sally knew that the weather would change, and in a week or two, a frost would be coming. She still needed to harvest all her raspberries, and she needed to make sure that the berry bushes all had enough mulch to keep them warm until they could be picked again. Sally's back and shoulders ached, and she took out the ironing board and took the blouses from their hangers.

The shirts were almost dry, and she pressed each one and then placed them carefully on the board. She smoothed out the wrinkles and fastened the buttons and zips, and she would have to return them to the cupboard in the morning. She stood up and crossed to the door, taking one last look
